The Uglies they met in this chapter are similar to Tally at the beginning of the book. When you compare her to these Uglies, how has Tally changed and what has made her change?
Tally has changed in ways such as her mode (going from fun loving to serious), her feelings (falling in love with David), and her bravery (going from cowardice to brave). A felling of guilt has made her change because she betrayed the smoke and she wants to get revenge on Cable.
